Prof. Ferdinand Katsriku
Ferdinand A. Katsriku was born in Santrokofi-Benua, Ghana. He received the MEng with distinction degree in computer systems engineering from the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute, Ukraine in 1989, an MSc in laser engineering and pulsed power technology from St Andrews University Scotland, in 1992 and the PhD degree in electrical and electronic engineering from City University of London, UK, in 2000.
From 2001 to 2012, he was a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University, London, UK. Since 2012, he has been with the Computer Science Department at University of Ghana, Legon where he is now Associate Professor. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, propagation modelling and photonic device modelling using the finite element method. F. Katsriku was a recipient of the Alborada Award and spent 6 months at Cambridge University UK as a Caprex Fellow.
